Convert PDF to Markdown Locally (No Upload)

Many “PDF to Markdown” sites ask you to upload a file. That is inconvenient for drafts, meeting notes, or anything you would rather keep on-device. PDFtoMD parses in the browser with PDF.js.

Steps

  1. Open the converter on the homepage.
  2. Drop a text-based PDF, or choose Paste plain text instead if the PDF engine cannot load.
  3. Copy or download the Markdown and finish cleanup in your editor.

What local means

The file is read in your tab. This preview does not create an account or store your PDF on a PDFtoMD server.
